FACTOR Helps Companies Excel Through Responsible Care®

Responsible Care® is a global Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) performance improvement initiative by the chemical industry that provides many additional benefits for companies, employees, and communities. It is a condition of membership in the American Chemistry Council (ACC) for both ACC Members (chemical manufacturers) and Responsible Care® Partners (service providers).

The Responsible Care Management System is an integrated, structured approach that builds on a PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT framework to achieve and sustain continual improvement. Companies can elect to implement RCMS® or RC14001® (which combines Responsible Care® and ISO 14001 certification). Certification of the management system by an independent, accredited auditor is mandatory.

This process can be daunting, especially for small companies going through it for the first time. FACTOR provides a variety of services to assist you in developing your Responsible Care Management System and achieving certification. All work is performed under stringent confidentiality agreements.

Achieving Positive Impacts for Business Results

Responsible Care® companies voluntarily track distribution incidents and have reduced their occurrence by 62 percent since 1995.
